Propylene Oxide

po

A Propylene Oxide (PO) Unit is an industrial facility designed to produce propylene oxide, a vital chemical used in various applications, including the manufacture of plastics, antifreeze, and solvents. Propylene oxide is an important intermediate in the production of polyether polyols, which are key components in making polyurethane foams, coatings, adhesives, and elastomers. This system is integrated with a hydrogen peroxide unit, which functions as the oxidizing agent. In this role, the hydrogen peroxide unit supplies or generates hydrogen peroxide to drive oxidation reactions in the process.
